Description
Ferno Transcend, Manual Track
The Transcend™ Stair Chair delivers controlled, safe patient transport down stairs and across challenging environments. Built to support up to 550 lb (250 kg), it uses a track-and-frame system that carries the load, improves stability, and reduces strain on the operator.
A durable all-metal frame provides long service life in demanding EMS environments. The chair rolls smoothly on 5-inch front swivel wheels and extra-tall 8-inch rear wheels with shock-absorbing, debris-resistant tires that handle rough terrain with ease.
The integrated track system maintains a low 1-inch ground clearance, helping the chair glide over carpet, uneven surfaces, and stair transitions. An extended footrest and optimized track angle improve patient stability and help increase the sense of security during movement.
Patient comfort comes from a contoured seating surface with removable injection-molded seat panels that support easy cleaning and maintenance. A positive locking hinge system secures the chair in both deployed and folded positions, improving safety during transport and storage.
Compact when stored, the chair measures 36” x 20” x 7.9” folded, making it easy to deploy in tight response environments. In use, it measures 36” x 60” x 20” and weighs just 32 lb (14.7 kg) without compromising strength or capability.
